The Painted Deck

The kingdom has been overrun by a wizard! Save the kingdom by defeating all enemies and making your way to that dastardly evil, building your deck of kingdom members along the way.

In older, medieval times, there was a painter in a kingdom. He was regarded as the best of his craft, and no one else would come close to his technical skill with the brush.

Outside the kingdom, he was mostly known for his paintings. Inside, he was known for something else.

Frequently, members and staff of the kingdom would come to him, requesting that their likeness be drawn in small, little pieces of paper. It was something he'd found he liked to do as a past time, away from the pressures of real commissions from the public.

BATTLE INSTRUCTIONS:

Drag a card onto an empty slot on your side to place it there. Once placed, it cannot be used until the next turn (apart from Spearman).

Once on the field, drag a card to the an enemy card to deal damage to it. Damage and health are indicated by the card's bottom left and right respectively.

Placing each card on the field has a cost, indicated by the top left of a card. If you have insufficient cost, the card cannot be placed. Each time you pass a turn, your cost increases by 2.

Passing a turn can be done at any time. Once you pass a turn, the enemy cards will act instantaneously, damaging a random card or drawing a new one.

Once there are no cards on the enemy field, you can drag a card to the top, wide bar where you can deal damage to the enemy directly. Once the enemy's healthbar is empty, the battle finishes and you win.

When you pass a turn, you'll draw 2 cards, up to a maximum of 5. Once you run out of cards, you will stop drawing them.
